We're driving the new 2015 Subaru WRX this week. Here's a quick clip from our shoot today so you can hear how it sounds with the new equal-length headers.

What a snore-fest. I think equal-length headers on any turbo Subaru is a waste of otherwise great noise. I'll take a small hit in performance to hear something fun come from my car

The engineers disagree. I spoke to one last night and he said that from an engineering perspective they had no choice to go with equal-length headers when they decided to go with a twin-scroll turbo. Adding UELs will cause a "significant" performance hit as it will cause the turbo to not function properly.

This new drivetrain provides 3 more horse power, but subtracts a soul.
